Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. How our fee works (so this policy makes sense)
Our fee is a fixed, flat fee for a hands-on service delivered over time. It is not contingent on any recruiting outcome — we never charge based on placement, offers, or scholarships. Because you are paying for our ongoing work, this policy is about cancelling that work, not about returning a fee if a recruiting result does or does not happen. Payments are billed as agreed in your engagement letter (typically by invoice or payment link after a consultation); card statements show RECRUITED.AGENCY.
2. No outcome-based refunds
We do not offer refunds based on recruiting results. We do not promise, and do not refund against, any offer, scholarship, roster spot, or coach response — those depend on factors outside our control. Instead, if the process milestone defined in your engagement letter is not reached in the agreed timeframe, our continuation commitment applies: we keep doing the outreach and mentoring work at no additional fee until the milestone is reached (see the Terms of Service). That continued work — our labor — is the remedy for a missed milestone, in place of a refund.
3. Cancelling before work begins / cooling-off
If you cancel shortly after signing and before we have begun substantive work, we will refund what you have paid, less any non-refundable deposit or onboarding costs stated in your engagement letter. We recognize that consumers may have a statutory cooling-off / cancellation right, and where such a right applies we will honor it.
4. Cancelling during the engagement
You may cancel the engagement at any time by written notice to support@recruited.agency. On cancellation during the engagement:
- We stop outreach and mentoring, and the continuation commitment ends (we are no longer obligated to keep working past the milestone).
- Fees for work already performed are non-refundable. Because our fee is for hands-on service delivered over time, amounts covering work already done are earned when the work is done.
- If your engagement letter uses an installment or retainer schedule, how remaining or future installments are handled on cancellation is set out in your engagement letter.
5. If we cancel
We may end the engagement as described in the Terms of Service (for example, if required information or account access is not provided, if information was materially false, or if continuing would require us to act outside our stated scope). If we end the engagement for reasons other than your breach, we will return any prepaid amount for work we have not yet performed.
6. Highlight video and one-off deliverables
If your engagement includes a one-off deliverable such as a highlight video, how any fee attributable to that deliverable is handled on cancellation is set out in your engagement letter.
7. How to request a cancellation or refund
Email support@recruited.agency with your name and your athlete's name. We will confirm receipt, tell you what (if anything) is refundable under this policy and your engagement letter, and process any due refund to your original payment method within 14 days. If you paid by card and believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first — we keep records of the engagement and delivery so we can resolve billing questions quickly.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy removes any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence.
